Fire!! The cause of the delay
Arron called Dave from Pie Town and revealed the cause for the delay was a fire. The authorities would not let him pass. That was my 38th guess. Now the two other burning questions: 1) Is there Pie in Pie Town? (The answer is apparently yes.) 2) How much SPAM does he have left? (None)

Imagine that, officials keeping you from nearing or entering a fire area. Don't they know that you are on a schedule? I hope you are enjoying the unexpected break.

Pie Town, oh man that sounds delicious. I don't know if dad heard right, he thought you said you had a piece of pecan oatmeal pie? The oatmeal sounds great, I don't know about the pecan, but I'm sure I would have had a ball! To let everyone know Dave and I are going to bring some spam with us when we meet up with Aaron in Wyoming. We are looking forward to some of his concoctions. We figure maybe he will cook if we provide a nice soft bed?! We love the pictures and your writings and you look and sound GREAT. Love you, mom
